![]() ![]() ![]() While the problem on Windows 10 is now fixed, Microsoft confirmed earlier that it’s Windows 11 now which is having issues post the latest update, wherein the Start menu would fail to launch, with ExplorerPatcher installed. Windows 10 Start menu: Fixed a bug that prevented the menu from working on OS builds 22621.1413 and newer (46c5041).Installer requires Internet connectivity. The release notes mention the update was tested on Windows 11 build 22621.1992 which is the latest Patch Tuesday release: The issue has been resolved with this latest update. The developer of the software notes that the bug would prevent the Pin to Start options from working properly. The new version fixes a bug wherein the Start menu on Windows 10 would break. Fixed an issue which could result in Smart App Control unexpectedly blocking correctly signed applications.ExplorerPatcher, a third-party Windows UI customization utility, released its latest version, 22621.1992.56.1, earlier today.This issue may have also led to some explorer.exe crashes for impacted Insiders. Fixed an issue related to loading the system tray icons in Settings > Personalization > Taskbar which could cause Settings to crash when opening that page recently.Fixed an issue where if you had ever opened the context menu, doing CTRL + ALT + DEL and cancelling would lead to explorer.exe crashing.Fixed an issue leading to Insiders seeing error 0x800703E6 when copying files from Google Drive.Updated the underlying speech platform to improve voice activity detection for voice access, live captions, and voice typing, as well as address some issues with how punctuation is recognized.This doesn’t mean we’re done, and the watermark will return to Insiders in a future build.
